OpenAI is about to drop the mic with their GPT Store, a platform for all you brainy creators to showcase and sell your custom AI agents. You know, those nifty virtual buddies that can explain internet slang or help you score big in negotiations.
If you’re a ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise subscriber, you’ve probably been flexing your creative muscles in the Explore tab, creating personalized GPTs. Well, get ready to take it up a notch and maybe even make some cash by sharing your brainy creations in the GPT Store. Cha-ching!
But hold your horses, there’s a catch. OpenAI is keeping mum about how they plan to shower you with riches based on the popularity of your genius AI. Money talks, but details walk, apparently.
In the email blast, OpenAI gave creators a virtual pat on the back, urging them to make their AI pals as widespread as that “Netflix password you share with your whole squad.” But, and it’s a big but, they want you to follow the rules, like the AI version of school dress code – no wild outfits, just stick to the brand guidelines.
Originally scheduled for a November debut, the GPT Store got hit with some delays. Blame it on the CEO rollercoaster Sam Altman did a quick exit and then decided to slide back into the CEO seat in December. That kind of drama is enough to put any launch on hold, right?
